Project
Micro-Macro Linked CGE Modeling: Effectiveness and Poverty Effects of Policy Instruments Addressing Local Environmental Problems in Uganda
The overall research objective of this project is to construct a micro-macro linked computable general equilibrium (CGE) model that combines both economic and ecological aspects. The micro part of the model will be formed by a regionalized linear programming model that represents different farm household types in Uganda as well as product specific local environmental indicators such as soil nutrient depletion. The macro component will be represented by a CGE model. By linking the models, the impact of environmental policy instruments can be analyzed regarding their income and poverty effects as well as towards their environmental impact.
