Project
A cooperative way to more food: An econometric analysis of the impact of innovative cooperatives organizations of agricultural value chains in Senegal.
This research aims to use quantitative methods and the case study of Senegal to analyze empirically the impact of the new form of cooperatives as organizations of agricultural value chains on farm productivity and technology adoption. First, we will estimate the performances of individual farms of both cooperatives’ members and non-members. Second, we will determine the effect of membership of cooperatives on farms’ performances. Finally, we will analyze the spillovers effect of cooperatives members on non-members to understand the mechanisms of knowledge flows in social networks.
